Origins x Richer Poorer End of Summer Care Kit

These products were gifted to me by Origins.

Origins and Richer Poorer are celebrating the end of summer with a limited edition care kit featuring an “I’d Rather Be Masking” t-shirt and two 1.7 fl oz face masks, the Clear Improvement active charcoal mask and Drink Up Intensive overnight mask.

I don’t know about you, but I am thrilled about this collab! Origins is one of my all time favorite cosmetics brands and I live for comfy tees, so this care kit is like the ideal set. If you’re going back to school or simply want an excuse to treat yourself, trust me, this is the perfect gift.

The Richer Poorer x Origins End of Summer Care Kit retails for $38, which is a total steal! Look at it this way: Each mask alone retails for $17 for 1.7 fl oz, so two masks would cost you $34. For $4 more, you’re getting the shirt, too! You’re basically getting the shirt for free. Plus, I love that Richer Poorer grew from humble beginnings and has California roots. #supportlocalbusiness

Alright, enough math. Let’s dive into the products!

Richer Poorer x Origins “I’d Rather Be Masking” T-Shirt

I’ve never seen a kangaroo, but now I own the second closest thing to one. I mean, look at this cute lil shirt with a pouch that can hold my fav masks! Yes, I’m calling it a pouch because it sounds that much cuter than a pocket. Ok? Ok.

The “I’d Rather Be Masking” t-shirt features

  • a crew neck,
  • organic cotton,
  • red embroidered cursive detailing,
  • tri-blend heather (50% polyester, 37.5% cotton, 12.5% rayon)
  • and was made right here in Los Angeles, California.

In other words, it’s like wearing a cloud and makes masking 10x better. *Scientifically proven by me.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

Great for oily, normal, or dry skin. Best for acne and oil control.

It’s pretty clear this mask clears pores, but did you know it helps combat acne and aid oil control, as well? As someone with sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin, the Clear Improvement mask is like a gift from the Origins gods to me. This charcoal mask tightens my skin while it’s on (this is good), then leaves my skin super soft and clean when I wash it off. Despite my problematic skin, this mask has not broken me out or irritated my skin at all. In fact, my acne looks calmer and my skin has a rejuvenated glow afterward.

I like to use this mask once or twice a week. For best results, open your pores with warm water, apply the mask and let it dry for at least 10 minutes, then wash it off with cold water to close pores.

What are the key ingredients in Clear Improvement and what do they do?

  • Bamboo Charcoal deep cleans pores to draw out gunk
  • White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins and purifies skin
  • Lecithin dissolves impurities, reduces flakiness, and restores suppleness

Clear Improvement is phthalate-free, paraben-free, mineral oil-free, and sulfate-free.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Great for dry and normal skin. Best for hydration.

As fall and winter are quickly approaching, there’s no doubt I’m going to be reaching for this mask more frequently. My skin becomes more dry and flaky in the colder months, so this mask gives my skin that extra boost of hydration it needs to stay moisturized throughout the day. What I love about this mask is that it has a pleasant smell and is non-greasy on my skin. Oily skin peeps, you know this is a big deal. Speaking of, since my skin is oily, a little goes a long way with this mask. For those of you with dry or normal skin, feel free to be more generous with application.

I like using this mask at least twice a week, but you can use it as needed. I wish I knew about this mask back when I was using prescription topical creams that left my skin dry and flaky. It’s so hydrating and just like the Clear Improvement mask, it does not break me out or irritate my skin. For best results, gently massage the mask onto your skin at night and tissue off any excess.

What are the key ingredients in Drink Up Intensive and what do they do?

  • Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oils deeply moisturize skin and help retain hydration
  • Japanese Seaweed hydrates and firms skin tissue to prevent signs of premature aging

Drink Up Intensive is phthalate-free, paraben-free, mineral oil-free, and sulfate-free.

Again, here are my favorite places where you can buy this mask to get the most bang for your buck.
