August 2019 Sephora New Releases
1. Natasha Denona Coral Eyeshadow Palette
Release Date: August 3 (online)
Five full-size eyeshadows in matte, metallic, and duochrome finishes are included in the Natasha Denona Coral Eyeshadow Palette. This versatile palette allows you to create everyday looks which can be amped up for nighttime glam by using the deeper shades. These autumn colors speak to my soul and I just wanna bathe in them. Okay, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic, but you know what I mean.
2. Milk Makeup Flex Foundation Stick
Release Date: August 6 (online) + August 9 (in-store)
Cruelty-free | Gluten-free | Vegan
Tis the season of new foundation launches, but this one in particular stood out to me because it’s a hydrating stick foundation with buildable medium coverage. Flex Foundation Stick is available in 36 shades and the ingredients include blue lotus to hydrate while chamomile calms redness and soothes even the most sensitive skin. Plus, tiny blendable spheres and marshmallow root extract in the formula help the foundation appear skin-like rather than creasing or caking.
3. Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask
Release Date: August 8 (online) + August 15 (in-store)
Cruelty-free | Vegan
Retinol in an eye cream? I was taken aback at first until I learned that this Avacado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask has three encapsulated ingredients, including retinol, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid, which release in small amounts over time, making the formula more gentle than traditional retinol treatments. Phew! Additionally, avocado and plant derived squalane nourish and deeply moisturize while coffeeberry brightens and depuffs the under-eye.
4. Fenty Beauty Brow MVP
Release Date: August 23
Brow MVP is an ultra fine, waterproof brow pencil that delivers hair like strokes and is available in 12 shades. The pencil also features a styling paddle brush for effortless blending. I’m intrigued and curious if the paddle brush works better than a spoolie. What do you think?
5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Vol. 1 Palette
Release Date: August 26 (online)
Excuse me, what?! Does Norvina ever sleep? Well, the Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 1 is an exciting launch that caught me by surprise. I was not expecting this at all. We finally have a new palette design from Anastasia Beverly Hills and it includes 25 shades. Per the color story, I think this palette is best for makeup artists, anyone with an understanding of color theory, or just color lovers in general. Clearly, this palette is not for everyone, but I love how it’s so different and more bold than the eyeshadow palettes we usually get from ABH. Does anyone else get ABH Lip Palette vibes from this one?
